What should I expect on my first visit?
Your first visit consists of a comprehensive exam. This entails basic x-rays and a thorough clinical exam. The doctor will complete an oral cancer screening to evaluate for any concerning growths or lesions. In addition, we complete a comprehensive periodontal assessment to help diagnose gum disease. After your exam is complete, you will receive a treatment plan to address any treatment needs. We do our best to accommodate some time with the hygienist to get your cleaning complete. However, when periodontal disease is diagnosed we may not be able to complete your entire cleaning.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
If you have an extensive health history and take many medications, it is very helpful if you bring your medication list. In addition, make sure to bring your drivers license or alternative form of government issued identification. If you have an insurance card, please bring that as well.
